She received a postgraduate certification in computer programming and taught several classes in programming as a teaching assistant at North Carolina State University. While working on her master's degree in computer engineering, her first daughter was born. Kim and her family moved to Princeton in 1992 when her husband took a position as a Professor of Chemistry at Princeton University. Shortly after their second daughter was born, Kim began teaching science classes at Westerly Learning Center. In 2016, she took over as the Director of Stone Hill Learning Center and has been leading her team of dedicated teachers, inspiring a love for learning and homeschooling, ever since.
