Wheels within Wheels - Without Turning as They Go!

The glory of our God:
He is the King of Kings always and everywhere,
Even when it does not feel like he is.

Bulletin for:
Sunday, October 26, 2014
Order of worship:
Pastor to People:

Stewards must be faithful (1 Corinthians 4:2).

As the body of Christ at Stone Hill, we have been tasked by God to use our facility for his glory. Our Facilities Administrator, Jim Erickson, shares here some strategic updates on how we are using it faithfully in the service of Jesus Christ:

Taking care of our environment: Great news! We have received and will be displaying a plaque recognizing our building’s LEED
certification.  LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) is a rating system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council for buildings that are “designed, constructed, maintained, and operated for improved environmental and human health performance.”  We are one of eleven buildings in Princeton to earn LEED certification.  We are pleased to have this designation.

Serving our Community: Yesterday, Stone Hill youth worked hard at cutting a trail that connects our parking lot to the Herrontown Woods trails.  They removed branches, smoothed out a path, and spread wood chips. The trail provides additional access for local residents who want to enjoy the network of trails in Herrontown Woods. The whole project has been a wonderful opportunity to join different people together in service and to use our property to connect to our community – literally.

Helping our neighbors: On Sunday morning, November 2, from 8:00 to 9:20, we will be hosting a water station for runners taking part in the Princeton Half-Marathon. Duties entail filling and handing out cups of water to the runners and cheering them on.  What a great way to put “loving your neighbor” into action.  Please contact me via phone (609-924-3816) or via email at jime@stonehillprinceton.org to help out.

Along with cleaning and maintaining our beautiful church building, we look forward to more opportunities like these.  There are so many ways that our facilities can (and do) serve Christ and the kingdom.  We welcome your thoughts for other projects along with any help you would like to offer in the area of facilities (custodial, building and grounds, audio-visual-lighting).
