The Gospel According to Isaiah: Messiah's Folly, Messiah's Success

Jesus Christ is the Second Jonah,
          Who spent three days and nights in the deep
                      And then returned to life!

Pastor to People:

Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you (Romans 15:7).

On behalf of the staff and elders of our church, Jim Erickson and I are pleased to introduce Antonio (“Tone”) Bellamy as our new Facilities Associate. Tone joined the Facilities Team as a full-time staff member on February 2. He sees this as continued opportunity to serve God in new ways – by caring for the facility God has given us and by supporting the ministries and programs of Stone Hill Church. Tone is a man of strong faith and is deeply devoted to his wife, Diane, and their three children, Promise, Serenity, and Joshua. Tone has already made a positive impact on our staff as he is a very quick learner. We’ve asked Tone to share some thoughts:

For those of you whom I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet, my name is Antonio Bellamy. My wife Diane and our three children have been members at Stone Hill Church for 5 years now. We reside in the city of Trenton where we seek to serve to the glory of our great God and the good of our hood. It is also my joy to accept this opportunity to serve Stone Hill in such a grand capacity as your Facilities Associate. I was asked to make a few goals for myself in my new position. Here are the few goals I came up with:

By the grace of God, to add to the culture of excellence exemplified by Stone Hill Church leaders by working heartily as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23-24);
By the grace of God, to pray for and bear the burdens of my fellow church and/or staff members (Ephesians 6:18; Galatians 6:2);
By the grace of God, to faithfully imitate Christ-like thinking and servitude (Philippians 2:5-8).

I would like to conclude my introduction with a prayer request. Please pray Acts 20:24 over my life and Colossians 3:18-21 over my family as often as you remember. May our Lord who bore our curse and bullied the grave that we may have life be glorified in my service on your behalf.

Pray for Antonio and welcome him when you see him!
