From Every Land to Every Land: The Lord's Purpose & Provision in the Lord's Prayer

Jesus Christ has the Name above all names

because He has delivered us from the dominion of sin

and has brought us into his resurrection life.

Know those who labor among you (1 Thessalonians 5:12).

What a pleasure to introduce Lisa Mutch, a new referral counselor here at Stone Hill. Here is Lisa in her own words:

It’s a pleasure to be able to serve you in the capacity of referral counselor, providing counseling on an individual, couples or family basis.

I am single and originally from the Philadelphia area, where I currently live. I bring with me over 10 years experience working as a professional counselor and psychotherapist. I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling from Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield, PA.

I also bring with me the life experience of having worked in the government and corporate sector for approximately 25 years, most of which was in the pharmaceutical industry as an environmental engineer, and then as an ethics/compliance officer and Ombudsman.

In the mid-90s, while working in industry and attending counseling for a short time myself, I realized that I had a desire to counsel others. I felt that the Lord’s giftings for me were best suited to this type of vocation. Although initially scary as I began to make this life change, I believe that this has been the path that God has called me to. Along the way, His providence has opened the door for me to be able to serve others.

My approach to counseling is first and foremost grounded in my faith in Jesus Christ, as I have been transformed and continue to be transformed by God’s redemptive power. I present a holistic view to counseling, realizing that disorders of the mind can aggravate suffering as we live in a fallen world. While I understand that it is not always possible to change or eliminate all suffering, I strive to work with clients to change how we respond and relate to it. I am moved by the centrality of the gospel in bringing healing and restoration in people’s lives. As well, I undergird counseling with prayer as I seek to demonstrate the love of Christ to clients.

Please contact the church office for more information or to schedule an appointment. Grace and peace to all!
