                   a never-to-fail shining light

that overcame the darkness of evil, fear, and death.

Dear Stone Hill Church Family,

I want to thank all of you who have participated in our efforts to help needy families in Princeton over the past year. Your generosity has provided over 170 Christmas presents for children in Princeton over the past two Christmas seasons. You have also supplied families in Princeton with school supplies this past August. All of these efforts have been in partnership with Princeton Human Services, which provides many services for 200 low-income families in the city of Princeton.

In 2014 Princeton Human Services presented the results of an extensive survey of these 200 families to our church family.  As a result of that presentation we targeted two areas of need that we felt Stone Hill Church could meet in partnership with Princeton Human Services. The first area of need centered on personalized job coaching/mentoring for individualsseeking employment. Yesterday, December 19, we conducted our first job coaching/mentoring session in partnership with Princeton Human Services. There were eight individuals who signed up for our job coaching/mentoring sessions.  We are hoping to provide personalized job coaching that will enable individuals to access the job market more effectively.  We hope to continue helping people find the resources that they need in interviewing, internet job searching and resume building that will enable them to use their God-given talents more effectively. Mike Giachetti is heading this important service to our community.

The second area of need involves providing personalized financial coaching. There is a significant need among these 200 families to practice more effective financial planning to provide for their families.  Our financial coaches are beginning to work with two families and we hope that there will be more opportunities to provide financial coaching in 2016.

These efforts have provided tangible expressions of God’s love to our community. Thank you for participating in these efforts and may Stone Hill Church continue to work for the betterment of our community.

In His Grace,

Tracy Troxel
