Merry Christmas from Pastor Matt and Karen

Along with the rest of our family, Karen and I wish to each of you a Spirit-blessed Christmas and a Christ-centered New Year. We have no greater joy than to know, serve, and love each of you, and to see you walking in the truth (3 John 4).

The picture above was taken at Thanksgiving, when we were in Chicago. We spent the holiday with our son Nathan, daughter-in-law Grace, and grandson Paul (2 years old). They will be joining us here in Princeton for Christmas (yeah!) along with our son Joel, daughter-in-law Janet, granddaughter Eden (6 years old), and grandson Matthan (aka “Buddy,” 3 years old). Every day I thank God for the members of my family, as I do also for the people of Stone Hill.

As you prepare for the new year, why not make concrete plans for consistent scripture reflection in 2017? A resource I find particularly useful in this regard is YouVersion (youversion.com). It’s a Bible reading app that includes scores of plans and tools to help you stay on track as you dive into God’s word. Choose from whole-Bible plans (historical-chronological plans, the M’Cheyne one year reading plan, etc.), topical plans (finding purpose in your work, healing from trauma, prayer, etc.), family devotional plans, or any number of other ways to structure your Scripture reading goals. If you are not into device apps, here are some links that also offer Bible reading plans:

May we all seek and find the Lord in 2017 through ever-richer times with him and his Word!
