Jesus the Bread of Life; Christ can satisfy us more deeply than we thought possible.
Grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).
Last Sunday I introduced RightNow Media, a huge online resource that offers over 10,000 videos to believers, their families, small groups, and the Church. You can think of it as a Christian Netflix. To get a better sense of it, click here if you are reading this online. Or you can access the short introductory video on the Stone Hill website.
Stone Hill has subscribed to RightNow Media! As a free gift to every one in our congregation, you can gain immediate access. Think of it: anywhere, anytime, from your smart device or computer, all sorts of resources for following Jesus.
Lara Holt, our Missions Facilitator, comments:
The Missions selection has a bit of everything, from biographies of famous missionaries, to practical guides on disciple-making, to exploring social justice issues. For those considering long-term mission work, there are videos spotlighting various people groups and countries. Some videos will make you think while tickling your funny bone.
Executive Director Doug Megill has something to say about the financial materials available:
The number and breadth of available videos are really impressive. There are Bible studies, personal testimonies, practical lessons, select conference presentations, short clips and entire courses on these subjects. Speakers include Timothy Keller, Dave Ramsey, Crown Financial, Chip Ingram and Andy Stanley. You can watch by yourself or share.
Andrea Chaumont, Interim Youth Director, points out resources that relate to our students:
We will be using Francis Chan’s video series (James) in youth group. I recommend his “Crazy Love” if you want to know the love of God in a deeper way. The Bible can be a challenging book to read and Tim Mackie’s videos on "How to Read…" are very helpful to get you oriented in the Biblical story (I especially liked Genesis). “Real Life Stories” are powerful testimonies by courageous teens about all kinds of issues (sex, pornography, body image). They help offset the power of Satan, who wants to keep struggles in the dark; we serve a God who is Light (1 John 1:5) and delivers us from all kinds of darkness.
