Adult Ed: A History of Biblical Interpretation: From the Early Church to the Reformation: This class broadly surveys the history of biblical interpretation from the early church to the Reformation, focusing on key figures and their methods of interpreting the Bible. This class will meet in the Library this  Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and is led by Alyssa Evans.

The Koinonia Team: The Koinonia Team is putting together a series of events to promote discussion of important issues related to race and community within the body of Christ and the larger Princeton community.  Last Sunday night we viewed the movie, Black Panther, and then talked about the theme of that movie.  Here are the 3 remaining events this summer.

· Saturday, July 21 at 10 a.m.: Book Discussion of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot

Make sure you read the book and come ready to discuss this fascinating true story that reveals the hidden prejudices and biases in the medical and scientific community.

· Saturday, July 28 at 6 p.m.: Movie and Discussion of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot

For those of you who don’t have time to read the book, you can come to the movie showing followed by discussion.

· Saturday, August 25th at 10 a.m.: Book Discussion of Divided by Faith by Christian Smith and Michael O. Emerson

Our final event of the summer focuses on a sociological study of how the church in North America has remained largely segregated.  This is an important book for us to wrestle with.  God has already made Stone Hill a diverse congregation.  We want to see our fellowship grow in unity even as we express the beauty of the diversity in our midst.

Serve

Camp: We need YOUR help!  We are looking for people to help with setup and decorations.  Please meet after the 11:10 a.m. service in Harris Hall.   Additionally, 6 drivers are needed each day at 4:30 p.m. to bring Johnson Park School kids to one of four central locations in Princeton for parent pickup.  Must have a car and a good attitude.  Please email camp@stonehillprinceton.org if you are able to help.

Café Volunteers: We all enjoy the wonderful coffee, tea, bagels and fellowship time in the atrium on Sunday mornings! We are looking for help this summer in the cafe in order to keep the bagels coming. Please consider joining our team. Many hands make light work!  If interested please contact Grace Henrie at info@stonehillprinceton.org.

Funding Our Mission

The Funding Our Mission appeal sought to raise $100,000 to fully fund the ministries that reach people with the gospel and disciple them. At this point we have received $71,134.70. We are thankful for each one who gave and prayed. We ask for your prayerful consideration of your financial support for this church in the months and years to come.
