Join the Choir: Come and sing with the Stone Hill choir! No audition necessary. Additional singers for all sections are welcome and needed. The Koinonia Team:  Has put together a series of events to promote discussion of important issues related to race and community within the body of Christ and the larger Princeton community.  Our final event of the summer focuses on a sociological study of how the church in North America has remained largely segregated.  This is an important book for us to wrestle with.  God has already made Stone Hill a diverse congregation.  We want to see our fellowship grow in unity even as we express the beauty of the diversity in our midst. The book discussion of Divided by Faith by Christian Smith and Michael O. Emerson will be held in the church Library on Saturday, August 25 at 10 a.m.   Please read more about this book and other Reader’s Reviews on https://stonehillprinceton.org/announcement-category/readers-reviews or on our Stone Hill Church App.

Prayer Team Members:  Each Sunday we have Prayer Teams who pray personally for people after each service. We are looking for new people to join our Prayer Teams. An ideal Prayer Team member is passionate about prayer and about praying for and with others. Once trained, you can schedule your prayer team commitment in a way that corresponds to your availability.  Also, we are encouraging all present Prayer Team Members to come to the training as well in order to meet prospective new team members and for a refresher. We will have Prayer Team Training at 9:30 a.m. or 11:10 a.m. on Sunday, September 23. Please choose one of the sessions. Please RSVP by emailing Lara Holt at larah@stonehillprinceton.org.

DivorceCare: The breakup of a marriage is devastating. Are you experiencing or have experienced separation or divorce? Do you know someone traveling this difficult road?  DivorceCare is here to help.  This 13-week Christ-centered recovery and support group utilizes video, workbook, and discussion to aid in the recovery process. This group meets at Stone Hill Church Saturday mornings starting September 8. For details and to register online at http://stonehillprinceton.org/connect/care, or contact Amy Hellesen, director, at 201-317-5629 or divorcecare.stonehill@gmail.com.

One-to-one Discipleship:  We have prepared new curriculum for the One-to-One Discipleship ministry. If you are interested in being trained as a mentor or if you are interested in being a mentee we invite you to attend our preview of the new curriculum on Sunday, August 26 from 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. We will provide lunch and babysitting. We will also review our 14-week curriculum as well. Please RSVP for this training by emailing Lara Holt at larah@stonehillprinceton.org.

Small Group Leader Training:  (2 Options) We will offer two options for Small Group Leader Training.

· Saturday, September 8 from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.

· Sunday, September 9, 12:30 p.m. -2 p.m.

This training is for existing and new small group leaders. We are hoping to have 5 new small groups this fall so we are looking for 5-10 new small group and assistant small group leaders. Please RSVP to Lara Holt at larah@stonehillprinceton.org. Small groups are where connection with others happens on a deeper level. We encourage every regular attender to get connected through a small group. Authentic relationships, discipleship, and spiritual growth flourish in these small group communities.

iCan Bike Camp: The Down Syndrome Association of Central New Jersey is looking for volunteers for its iCan Bike camp to help spot the riders as they learn to ride bicycles for the first time! You will serve as physical, emotional, and motivational support for a rider as they learn and will need to be able to walk/jog/run alongside them during a 75 minute period each day, with short breaks. You will be there to spot them as they ride and to encourage them to keep going. The camp will be held at Pennington Ewing Athletic Club (PEAC) Health and Fitness in Ewing, NJ. The camp will run from August 26 to August 31 and you have a choice of one out of five possible sessions: 9-10:15 a.m., 10:40-11:55 a.m., 1:00-2:15 p.m., 2:35-3:50 p.m., or 4:10-5:25 p.m. They prefer you attend at the same time each day. For more information and for a volunteer registration form reach out to Michael Sentence at michaels@stonehillprinceton.org .
