Advent 4: Unto you is born this day a Savior: Christ the Lord!
I thank God in all my remembrances of you (Philippians 1:3).
It would be easy for me to memorialize 2019 in light of any of a number of events, whether across the world or here at church or in my personal life. But today I want to pause and remember 2019 for people: in particular, you the people of Stone Hill, and how God’s grace has poured through you to so many others, including me.
How fitting, then, on this Sunday before Christmas, for Karen and me to extend to each of you our very best wishes and prayers for a most joyful Christmas. We ask that the final weeks of 2019 would overflow with simple gifts, chief among them a love for Jesus. And may the same be true in the new year to come.
In and through Christ Jesus, may you and yours have a very merry Christmas and a most blessed New Year!
