What a pleasure to introduce to you Mary Ann Jones in her new capacity of Administrative Manager of the Stone Hill office. Here is Mary Ann in her own words:
I started working in the Stone Hill office last fall on a temporary basis. At first it was part-time, then it grew to full-time, and now, all these months later, here I am, serving you no longer as a temp, but as a key administrator in the office.
I’ve enjoyed getting to know Stone Hill from the administrative side. It is a very busy place, and I find the work challenging—in a very good way. My gifts and passion lie in the areas of administration, and I get excited when those sorts of challenges come my way.
I was the second of two daughters born to my parents in Chateauroux, a town in central France. Because ours was an Air Force family, daughter three was born on Guam, and my brother followed, born in Nebraska. Our family returned from our many travels to my parent’s home town of Vista, in southern California, just as I completed junior high school.
At home in Vista, I started attending the Community Church with my grandmother. It was in that church’s youth group that I started my journey with the Lord of my life. I graduated from high school and went on to major in Christian Education at Seattle Pacific College, WA, and then studied theology with an emphasis in Youth Ministry at Fuller Seminary, Pasadena, CA.
My work life has been varied, with positions in both the retail and non-profit worlds (including retail sales, management, Young Life, World Vision). In 1992 I moved from California to New Jersey for a position with Nordstrom. I met Allen shortly after, and we were married 1994. We have one child, Holly Marie. For seventeen years I was a very busy at-home mom; for four of those years, I home-schooled Holly.
I am humbled to join the full-time staff of our church. Thank you for praying for me!
