Persecuted Church Sunday 2017: Redeem us for the sake of your steadfast love!
In the midst of the congregation I will praise you! (Psalm 22:22).
Here are two stories of God’s grace in the lives of the people of Stone Hill:
Ami Theodore: Ephesians 5:16 says, Make the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Time is one of the most precious things we must give to the Lord. With two little boys, I struggled to find quiet time with God. My daily schedule was crowded with many things, and unknowingly my spiritual life was pushed to the bottom of the list. One morning I woke up with a strange memory of something I had seen in a dream. In it, God clearly revealed to me how far I was moving away from Him. He made me realize that I should give God the priority and spend quality time with Him no matter what. Our precious Lord, with His amazing grace and love, restored me and sealed me again into a special relationship with Him. Matthew 6:33, Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Praveen Sekar: I was born into a family of nonbelievers. But by God’s grace I came to place my faith in Christ. From that moment on, I kept my faith a secret and would go to Bible studies and church behind my family’s back. I was fearful of what would happen if they found out, so I went many years without telling them. At times I felt weak and broken because I couldn’t find the courage to stand up to them. But God was always by my side. He uplifted me and gave me the courage I needed to stand boldly for Him. I confessed to my brother and father that I was a Christian, and they both accepted my faith. As I continue to stand for Christ and come out to the rest of my family, I know that God, who has brought me this far, will continue to deliver me. Just like David in 1 Samuel 30:6, I strengthen myself in the Lord my God as I walk through the valley.

We have set a goal of $300,000 general fund income for October and November combined in order to be well-positioned for a strong finish in December. We received $150,000 in October. In addition, we will have a Second Offering on Sunday, November 12th. The goal of the Second Offering is to raise the $120,000 necessary to complete our Expanding our Serve (EOS) capital campaign. You can give in the offering plate, by mail or online through our website or the Stone Hill Church app. Please designate any special donations for “Second Offering”.
Volunteers Needed: The Café is in need of more people to help, especially with clean up. This is a great way for a small group to help out or just some folks who love coffee and to hang out after service. Even if it is once a month, it is helpful to sign up. There are other scheduling gaps as well so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Volunteers Needed: There is an immediate need for additional helpers in the Infant Room at the 11:10 a.m. service. Looking for a few people willing to commit to helping once every 4-6 weeks or even occasionally. No advance prep is required--just a willing spirit and the knowledge of how to care for our littlest ones.
Women’s Bible Study: You are warmly invited to Tuesday women's Bible study as we explore Genesis with a twist - seeing Christ in this very first book. Tuesdays 9:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m. Free childcare for children 5 and under.

The Freedom Group is a support and encouragement group for men committed to a lifestyle of sexual integrity through the power of the gospel by addressing the lies of our sex-saturated society and its impact on our hearts. We know that we need each other. Do you need a few brothers, who understand, to walk with you confidentially in your struggle? To learn more, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
