Our gracious, mighty God has ransomed us through Christ.
Adult Ed: A History of Biblical Interpretation: From the Early Church to the Reformation: This class broadly surveys the history of biblical interpretation from the early church to the Reformation, focusing on key figures and their methods of interpreting the Bible. It begins with an overview of the approach and interpretive principles of early church figures like Origen and Augustine before moving on to medieval developments in interpretation leading up to the time of the Reformation (e.g. the four-fold sense and scholasticism). Separate weeks will be devoted to Luther, Calvin, and Anabaptist/Radical Reformers and their concepts of sola scriptura in the Reformation. This class will meet in the Library starting next Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and is led by Alyssa Evans.
Summer Women’s Bible Study: Are you looking for a place to grow closer to God this summer? You're invited to join us for all or part of an 8-week Beth Moore Study of the book of James on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. in Harris Hall. Free childcare for children age 5 and below.
Campus Shuttle - Summer Schedule: Students, if you will be around campus during the summer and need a ride to church, our van ministry shuttle will be running for the 9:30 a.m. service. Pickups will be along Elm Drive on the Princeton University campus. Check out the website for stops and times. If you are in town and need a ride please contact Laura Megill (814-688-9359). Contact Jim Erickson at email@example.com with any other questions.
Recycling: We make every effort at the church to recycle and continue to look for ways to be as green as possible. You may have heard there are some big issues now in the US with recycling mostly due to contamination of materials. Although many things [bottles, cans, paper and cardboard] can be recycled in our single stream recycling cans (every classroom has a blue can, there are recycling cans in the workrooms and kitchen, and a large single stream recycling dumpster in the back parking lot), plastic bags and food soiled items are not recyclable. We do have a separate container located in the coat closet for plastic bag recycling. See Jim Erickson for any questions/concerns on this.
Ministry Team Help Wanted - Audio-Visual Team: Are you looking for a simple, but fun way to serve the church? Can you push keys on a keyboard? Do you attend either our 9:30 a.m. or 11:10 a.m. service on Sunday? If you answered "yes" to all these questions - you can be a part of our AV Team. We need you! And we will train you. See Nathaniel or Jim Erickson at the AV booth any Sunday for more information. Also a big thank you to Joyce Huang, who will be leaving this summer for college, and Raphael Suarez, who will leave to start a new career in TX.
Special Financial Appeal: God has called Stone Hill Church to make disciples in Princeton and around the world. As the church has grown following the move to our current location, our ministry opportunities have expanded. We welcome new believers and help them to grow in their faith. The next generation of the church is being nourished spiritually, both the children of our regularly attending families and the members of the community who participate in VBS Camp and AWANA. We have helped plant a new congregation in Trenton. Members and staff counsel struggling families in the community and provide them with financial assistance. We support individual missionaries and other worthy programs around the world. The fruits of these efforts are a tremendous blessing to us. God has blessed the ministry of Stone Hill Church in many ways, one of which is through the faithful financial support of the congregation. This month we are conducting a special appeal titled Funding Our Mission. We must raise $100,000 in the next two weeks to fully fund the critical ministries that reach people with the gospel and disciple them. Thus far, we have received $13,625.
Ministry thrives in the context of a generous congregation. Please support the work of the church, either online or in person through the month of June, above and beyond your usual giving. As always, you can give by cash, check, through online giving via the Loop or our Stone Hill app and website http://www.stonehillprinceton.org/giving. Contributions should indicate they are for “Funding Our Mission”; if you give electronically look for the dropdown menu.

We are thankful for each one who gives and prays.
