On Thursday, February 24, at 7:30 p.m., Elaine Buck and Beverly Mills will be giving a talk on African American history, focusing on central New Jersey. Some of you may remember that last year, we had a similar event: Shirley Satterfield gave a talk on the history of the Witherspoon-Jackson neighborhood of Princeton. That was an excellent talk and we got a lot of positive feedback from many of you, and this talk is in a similar vein. The speakers have written a book, If These Stones Could Talk, about what they have learned from studying cemeteries, but the talk will cover much more.
